Searching with command F, and thoughts on skins. #77

I was previously a fan of the tablet skin, even on the desktop, as it allowed searching in the collection view with a quick ⌘f in chrome. I never really could get used to the phone skin as at the collection screen once you drill into an album you then need 2x back buttons to get back out the the collection (in artist view). With tablet skin you can just keep right on scrolling after playing a couple tracks out of the album.

I ended up using tablet skin on my phone as well as my laptop.

Is there a way to get ⌘f working in the desktop skin? I have been sort of stuck at rompr-1.60.1 since the tablet skin was removed.

Thanks again for all you work on this.

In an ideal world the tablet skin would still exist, but it was just too much work. Myself I only use phone and skypotato, but most people seem to prefer desktop so I reluctantly keep that.

Cmd-F is nothing to do with RompR, that's all in your browser. It just allows you to search the text that is visible.

Well it does show it as found on the page but for some reason the browser doesn't scroll to show the text in the visible frame.

Ah, that's because the desktop doesn't use the browser's native scrolling. Sorry, nothing I can do about that. I don't use it on the desktop skin because it's ugly.
