Database update question

SQLite is the default. If you haven't set up MySQL on the setup page (rompr/?setup) then you are using sqlite. If you are already using multiple mpd and mopidy instances and it works, then that suggests you are using sqlite.

Do these Mysql logs look bad?

I meant for the first log, it looks like you were updating the collection and tried to add a rating to a track while that was happening. That will cause breakage. I'm working on a fix for that.

Do these Mysql logs look bad?

What machine are you running your apache server on? Are you using Rompr's SQLite or MySQL database? Were you by any chance trying to add ratings to a track while you were updating your database?

fatg3erman/RompR

Do these Mysql logs look bad?

The second is probably an effect of the first. I do not know what is going on with your database, I have never seen issues like this come up, but I would suggest it is definitely corrupt again.

If it happens again, send me the entire log. I need to see wh...

Database update question

The idea is that all players share the same database. This is limited slightly in that each instance of MPD/Mopidy also needs its own database of local files. There is some information in the docs about this.

Note that, because Mopidy and MPD use diff...

Queue set to consume always?

OK, I can reproduce that. That is definitely a bug. I have no idea what is going on there, I'll look into it.

fatg3erman/RompR

Queue set to consume always?

When you say 'replace the queue with a new playlist' what do you mean? The 'Consume' button simply reflects what the player is telling me. The only time I set consume to On intentionally is when you are playing personalised radio. Do you still have a perso...

How to clear & add & play with Mpd?

I'm always keen to hear suggestions. Developing Rompr is my creative outlet so it's all about ideas :)

How to clear & add & play with Mpd?

I'll think about it. You do have a point, but it has repurcussions across all the skins, it makes more sense in some than others.

fatg3erman/RompR

How to clear & add & play with Mpd?

That's the expected behaviour when playing personalised radio. There are arguments both ways I guess but essentially personalised radio 'takes over' the play queue. I can see where you're coming from though, I'll give it some thought.

I am sorry but this is f@cked up man!!!

Glad you like it :) Most of the development is focussed on Mopidy and Spotify.

Insane memory use with Waterfox (FF 56)

support

Final word for tonight, I just did something (in Rompr), not sure what, but suddenly Firefox was using 4GB of RAM... Needs further investigation for sure. Possibly it might have something to do with not having album art and getting into a lopp.

How to clear & add & play with Mpd?

It's not consistent across devices, it's consistent within the behaviour on a specific skin. The skins are there to provide different behaviours for the UI so you can choose one you like. The phone skin in particular is designed to be used on small...

Uhmmmmm Chromium/Epiphany browsers show no content :)

This was a bug in 1.15. I released 1.15.5 to fix this :)

Insane memory use with Waterfox (FF 56)

support

Well, Waterfox has just caused my Ubuntu Bionic machine, stably up and running for 5 weeks, to reboot itself without warning. I hadn't even got as far as trying RompR on it. I suggest Waterfox is the issue :) I won't be trying it again.

How to clear & add & play with Mpd?

In phone interface, Cd mode+Single click method enters to playlist (which was not the case on 1.10)

Correct. That has changed to make it consistent with the rest of the UI. There is now a 'Play All' button which will play the entire playli...

No the docs did not mention those folders. I changed the docs ready for a release and then found a problem so there was a short period when the docs were ahead of the released code. Sorry about that. If you're seeing album covers now then everything is fin...

How to clear & add & play with Mpd?

I hadn't actually considered using CD player mode with Playlists - (I don't use them myself) but it works as expected with albums in the Music Collection or Folders in the File Browser.

Also, let mw know which skin and theme you're using, which version of Rompr (I just released 1.15), which Info panels you're using, mpd or mopidy, listening to local file or radio or podcasts - just general usage stuff so I can focus my attentions towards ...

Insane memory use with Waterfox (FF 56)

I develop Rompr mainly in Firefox and I've never noticed this happening. It certainly doesn't sound normal. I'm using Firefox version 60 on macOS though. Perhaps it's an issue with version 56? This computer has been up for 3 weeks and Firefox is using no...

Missing covers

If you're seeing no albums covers at all it suggests a permissions problem. I think there might be an issue where the docs now refer to version 1.14 but that hasn't been released yet (found a last minute problem).

Check that the directories exist:

How to clear & add & play with Mpd?

Yes, you need to enable 'CD Player Mode' in the Configuration panel. This will automatically clear the playlist and start playing an album from the song you choose.
